Managing Editor
Fever, a leading tech platform for culture and live entertainment, is seeking a Managing Editor to join its Secret Media Network team. This role involves overseeing a dynamic team of writers, video producers, and social media creatives, focusing on enhancing the company's presence across the Central US and Canada markets. The Managing Editor will report directly to the Editorial Executive of the region.
Key responsibilities include managing and mentoring a growing team, ensuring clear workflows, and providing individual feedback. The role requires developing and maintaining high editorial standards that align with the brand's identity and tone of voice. Additionally, the Managing Editor will strategize to maximize media exposure and event coverage, collaborating with various departments such as social media, editorial, video, PR, creative, legal, and marketing. The position also involves analyzing internal KPIs to inform future strategies and identifying editorial partnership opportunities to expand the audience.
Candidates should have over three years of experience in a newsroom, content agency, creative agency, or digital media property. A native level of English is required, with a second language considered a plus. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a deep passion for journalism, social media, and digital marketing, along with strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Leadership experience in managing teams and a solid understanding of the current social media landscape are essential. Familiarity with platforms like Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter, as well as knowledge of digital media trends and community KPIs, is expected. Proficiency in Wordpress and Canva is advantageous.
The compensation package includes a base salary ranging from $90,000 to $100,000, with the potential for performance-based bonuses.
