Manager, Investor Services
The Manager, Investor Services at Public Storage will oversee the Investor Services team, working closely with the Director of Investor Relations to support both internal and external stakeholder initiatives. This role is integral to Public Storage's operations, which include managing communications with retail shareholders and limited partners, coordinating company filings, and facilitating capital market activities.
Key responsibilities include managing the Investor Services team to ensure effective administration of stakeholder efforts, coordinating regular and special communications such as news releases, and overseeing their timely distribution. The role also involves coordinating quarterly distributions, supporting security issuances, redemptions, and exchanges across various financial instruments, and leading inquiries from retail shareholders and limited partners regarding filings, ownership, transfers, and tax documentation. Additionally, the Manager will handle shareholder and limited partnership administration tasks, prepare non-financial components of annual reports, assist with annual proxy preparation, and coordinate the Annual Shareholder Meeting. Managing relationships with key external entities, including the New York Stock Exchange and transfer agents, and overseeing administrative aspects of the Investor Services team are also essential duties.
Candidates should have over five years of experience in investor services, shareholder services, or related finance/accounting roles, with at least three years in a management position demonstrating leadership capabilities. Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, is required. Familiarity with company filings, compliance, and annual reporting requirements is essential, as is experience collaborating with or managing vendors and market infrastructures such as the NYSE and transfer agents. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are necessary, along with the ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality. A strong work ethic and the ability to manage multiple projects under time-sensitive deadlines are also important.
Public Storage offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $118,000 to $138,000 per year, along with benefits such as medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, paid time off, and more.
