Manager, Global Product Compliance
Axon, a leader in public safety technology, is seeking a Manager of Global Product Compliance to oversee the certification and regulatory compliance of its products across international markets. This role is integral to ensuring that Axon's innovative solutions meet global standards, facilitating successful product launches and sustained market presence. The position is based in New York City and reports to the Director of Global Trade & Product Compliance.
In this role, you will lead global product compliance efforts, ensuring that Axon's products achieve and maintain necessary certifications in key international markets. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Product Management, Global Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Sales, and Legal, to integrate compliance requirements into product development and commercialization processes. Your responsibilities will encompass managing certification programs from planning through approval, conducting compliance risk assessments, developing regulatory strategies, coordinating testing, reviewing documentation, and tracking certification milestones.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or a related field, with over eight years of experience in product compliance, regulatory affairs, or market access roles supporting complex hardware or connected technology products. Expertise in global product compliance, including areas such as EMC, RF, electrical safety, battery safety, laser safety, wireless technologies, and environmental regulations, is essential. A deep understanding of international regulatory frameworks and certification pathways, along with the ability to assess how product design and manufacturing decisions impact certification and regulatory risk, is crucial.
