Manager - General Chemistry
Eurofins is seeking a Manager for its General Chemistry department, responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of production plans within the laboratory. This role is integral to ensuring timely and accurate analysis of samples, meeting customer commitments, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety in food testing services.
Key responsibilities include developing and executing production plans, delivering precise sample analyses, and maintaining control over records and measurement traceability. The manager will also oversee the maintenance of standard reference materials, chemicals, reagents, and glassware, support the installation of new analytical equipment, and validate both standard and non-standard test methods. Additionally, the role involves training, reviewing, and appraising laboratory staff, as well as configuring and monitoring laboratory instruments and environmental conditions.
The ideal candidate will possess 8-10 years of experience in a food testing laboratory, with a strong understanding of ISO 17025 implementation and accreditation processes. Proficiency in analytical techniques such as wet chemistry, proximate analysis, and heavy metals analysis is essential. Strong leadership skills are required to effectively manage a team of analysts, assign and supervise tasks, and monitor and evaluate team performance. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry is required, and being a certified food analyst is preferred.
