Manager, Compensation and Rewards
Flex, a growth-stage FinTech company headquartered in New York City, is seeking an analytical and detail-oriented Manager of Compensation and Rewards to join our People team. This critical role involves partnering with HR Business Partners, Managers, and Talent Partners to ensure our compensation and rewards programs are competitive, equitable, and scalable. Flex is dedicated to transforming the rent payment experience by enabling users to pay rent throughout the month on a schedule that better fits their finances and budget.
In this role, you will provide data-backed guidance on compensation strategy and market trends across all of Flex. Responsibilities include leading the benchmarking process for global functions, managing compensation cycles such as salary reviews and equity grants, and overseeing internal leveling audits. You will also handle the technical aspects of the offer process, including modeling complex compensation packages and maintaining market compensation databases. Additionally, you will serve as a strategic partner to leaders and HR Business Partners, offering expert guidance on compensation philosophy and pay equity.
The ideal candidate will have over six years of experience in an analytical role, preferably within Compensation, Total Rewards, or Finance. Success in a high-growth tech or fintech environment is essential, along with exceptional skills in Excel or Google Sheets for building complex models and translating data into actionable insights. Strong interpersonal skills are required to effectively communicate complex compensation concepts to various stakeholders and senior leaders. A strategic mindset combined with a hands-on approach to executing tasks is also crucial.
Flex offers a market-based approach to compensation, ensuring that pay aligns with a candidate's experience and internal leveling guidelines. For candidates in Tier 1 markets such as New York City, San Francisco, and Seattle, the base salary range for this role is $150,000 to $175,000 USD. For other U.S. locations, compensation is adjusted based on geographic pay differentials aligned with local market conditions.
Joining Flex means becoming part of a dynamic team committed to transforming the rent payment experience. We prioritize building an inclusive culture and offer opportunities for professional growth and development. Our team values diverse perspectives and is dedicated to empowering renters with flexibility over their most significant recurring expense.
