Manager, BI + Analytics Engineer
As the Manager of BI and Analytics Engineering at Peregrine Technologies, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's data infrastructure and analytics capabilities. Peregrine is an AI-driven platform that transforms siloed data into operational intelligence, serving public safety organizations, government agencies, and private-sector institutions. This position is based in Washington, D.C., with an expectation of in-office work four days a week.
In this role, you will be responsible for owning and scaling the data warehouse to support a rapidly growing go-to-market and product ecosystem. Your day-to-day tasks will include building and maintaining ETL pipelines using dbt to integrate data from various tools, applications, and third-party platforms. Additionally, you will design reusable data models that power reporting across Sales, Marketing, Product, and Finance, create dashboards to uncover trends in revenue and customer behavior, and set up data quality checks to ensure accurate and trustworthy data.
The ideal candidate will have over four years of experience as a BI Engineer, Analytics Engineer, or Data Engineer in a fast-growing tech environment. A strong command of SQL and data modeling best practices is essential, along with proficiency in dbt, modern data warehouses like Snowflake or BigQuery, and orchestration tools such as Airflow or Prefect. Experience with BI tools like Looker, Hex, Mode, or Sigma is also required. The candidate should possess strong product and business acumen, the ability to work autonomously, and excellent communication skills to translate complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
The salary range for this position is between $150,000 and $180,000 annually, with additional benefits, equity options, and potential bonuses. Actual compensation will be influenced by factors such as skill set, experience level, and specific work location.
