Manager, BI + Analytics Engineer
As the Manager of BI and Analytics Engineering at Peregrine Technologies, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's data infrastructure. This position involves leading the architecture and execution of internal analytics systems, collaborating closely with teams across Product, Sales, Finance, and Operations to transform raw data into actionable insights. In this role, you will be responsible for owning and scaling the data warehouse to support a rapidly growing go-to-market and product ecosystem. Your day-to-day tasks will include building and maintaining ETL pipelines using dbt to integrate data from various tools and platforms, designing reusable data models for reporting across multiple departments, creating dashboards to uncover trends in revenue and customer behavior, and setting up data quality checks to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of data. Additionally, you will support planning and forecasting by partnering with teams to define key performance indicators and develop forward-looking models.
The ideal candidate will have over four years of experience as a BI Engineer, Analytics Engineer, or Data Engineer in a fast-paced tech environment. A strong command of SQL and data modeling best practices is essential, along with proficiency in dbt, modern data warehouses like Snowflake or BigQuery, and orchestration tools such as Airflow or Prefect. Experience with BI tools like Looker, Hex, Mode, or Sigma is also required. The role demands a strong product and business sense, the ability to work autonomously, and excellent communication skills to translate complex concepts to non-technical audiences. Candidates should be located in New York, NY, and willing to work in the office four days a week.
