Major Account Manager (Life Sciences / Pharma Vertical)
Arista Networks is seeking a Major Account Manager to join its Sales team in Boston, focusing on enterprise accounts within the Life Sciences and Pharmaceutical sectors in the New England area. This role involves acting as a trusted advisor, implementing sales strategies, and exceeding sales targets within a designated list of 10-15 enterprise-level accounts. The position reports to a Regional Sales Manager or Area Vice President of Sales.
Key responsibilities include exceeding measurable sales objectives, utilizing a consultative selling approach to address client business needs across Arista's product portfolio, and meeting with key influencers and decision-makers to present Arista’s value proposition. The role also involves collaborating with systems engineers to design solutions, partnering with technology providers to identify prospects, managing key channel relationships, formulating strategic account plans, conducting demand generation activities, and staying updated with technology partner solutions and competitor strategies.
The ideal candidate possesses a hunter mentality with a proven track record of technology sales, including cultivating relationships with existing customers and penetrating new accounts. A minimum of 7 years of technology sales experience, a BS/BA degree or equivalent, and previous selling experience within the Life Sciences and Pharmaceutical vertical market are required. Relevant data center or networking industry background, strong relationships within the territory, excellent people skills, and technical acumen in areas such as Networking, SDN, NFV, Switching, Network Automation, Routing, Data Center, Edge Computing, Network Virtualization, Hyper-converged infrastructure, or Cloud computing are also essential.
The base salary for this role ranges from $123,000 to $167,000, with the actual salary offered based on factors including skills, qualifications, relevant experience, and location. The compensation package may also include discretionary bonuses, commissions, equity, and benefits such as medical, dental, vision, wellbeing, tax savings, and income protection.
