Machine Learning Engineer

Wolt is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to join its Personalization team, which is dedicated to creating tailored experiences for customers by selecting the best restaurants, dishes, or items that match their preferences. The team owns the machine learning stack, models, and integrations that generate real-time recommendations for millions of customers across all Wolt markets. This role offers the opportunity to work at Wolt's scale, operating in over 30 different markets with millions of customers.

As a Machine Learning Engineer in the Personalization team, you will build the ML infrastructure to develop, train, and deploy Wolt's ranking models that select the content displayed to customers. You will work end-to-end, from use case design to implementation, delivery, and monitoring of your solutions. Maintaining the production ML stack and raising the team's ML engineering excellence bar are key aspects of this role. Additionally, you will liaise with Wolt's ML Platform team to adopt different ML technologies and create technical requirements for their solutions.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of experience in ML/MLOps, with a strong background in end-to-end machine learning deployments and maintenance of ML systems. Experience in deploying and running ML models in production at scale, handling hundreds of requests per second with low latency, is essential. Proficiency in Python, along with experience in Docker, Kubernetes, workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Flyte), model and experiment registries (e.g., MLflow), and model serving systems (e.g., Seldon), is required. Strong communication and collaboration skills are also important for coordinating initiatives with the team and main stakeholders.

This role can be based in one of Wolt's tech hubs in Berlin, Helsinki, or Stockholm, or you can work remotely anywhere in Finland, Sweden, or Germany.
