Tyson & Mendes LLP, a nationally recognized law firm specializing in insurance defense litigation, is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join their team in Orange County, California. This role offers hybrid work opportunities and involves supporting attorneys in civil litigation, personal injury, and construction defect matters within a collaborative and high-performing environment.

The Litigation Paralegal will assist attorneys with drafting and responding to discovery requests, including interrogatories, requests for admissions, and requests for production. Responsibilities also encompass preparing deposition and hearing binders, managing trial preparation by coordinating witnesses and exhibits, and organizing medical records and billings to calculate damages such as medical expenses and lost wages. Regular communication with clients, experts, and attorneys regarding case status and preparation is also expected.

Candidates should possess a paralegal certification and have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal, preferably with exposure to California state litigation. A solid understanding of civil litigation procedures, including state and federal deadlines and rules, is essential. High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, as well as Adobe Acrobat, is required. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to work independently, exhibit strong organizational skills, and maintain excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

The compensation package includes an hourly pay range of $35-$48, depending on experience, with overtime paid at 1.5 times the regular hourly rate as needed. Paralegals are eligible for an annual bonus ranging from $250 to $3,000 and receive a monthly technology reimbursement of $60.
