Litigation Assistant
Morgan & Morgan, a leading personal injury law firm headquartered in Orlando, Florida, is seeking a qualified Litigation Assistant to join their Fort Lauderdale office. As a Litigation Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the legal team by managing daily operations, organizing case files, and ensuring efficient workflow. Your responsibilities will include scheduling hearings and deadlines, maintaining pleadings and discovery indexes, organizing exhibits and legal documents, and assisting in the preparation of reports and case files. Additionally, you will draft and proofread correspondence and legal documents, conduct legal research, and manage client billing processes.
The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience as an administrative assistant, preferably within a law firm or corporate legal department. A high school diploma is required, with an associate's degree in paralegal studies, a paralegal certificate, or a bachelor's degree being preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, along with strong written and verbal communication skills, is essential. Experience in personal injury, workers' compensation, or premises liability is advantageous.
