Legal Research Intern
The Legal Research Intern will join the Business & Human Rights Resource Centre (BHRRC), a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing human rights in business practices worldwide. This role is part of the legal research team, which focuses on analyzing corporate policies, monitoring legal developments, and supporting advocacy efforts to promote corporate accountability.
Key responsibilities include conducting in-depth legal research on human rights issues related to business activities, drafting reports and briefings, and assisting in the development of legal databases. The intern will also monitor and summarize recent legal cases, legislation, and international standards pertinent to business and human rights.
Candidates should be pursuing or have completed a law degree, with a strong interest in human rights and corporate accountability. Excellent research and analytical skills are essential, along with proficiency in written and spoken English. Familiarity with international human rights law and experience in legal writing are advantageous.
This is a remote, unpaid internship position, offering flexible working hours to accommodate different time zones and schedules. Interns will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in the field of business and human rights, working with a diverse and dedicated team.
