Legal Operations Associate
Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Legal Operations Associate to join their growing Legal team. This role involves providing extensive paralegal, operational, and administrative support in a fast-paced environment. The Legal Operations team is responsible for optimizing the efficiency and effectiveness of the Legal Department, working cross-functionally to streamline workflows, automate routine tasks, implement best practices, and support regulatory compliance efforts. The team acts as a bridge between legal, the company's business units, and outside counsel.
In this role, the Legal Operations Associate will be responsible for triaging and providing frontline support for requests from the company to the legal department. They will prepare and maintain records and documentation, such as business licenses, construction contracts, leases, letters of intent, waivers, and notices. The associate will draft, review, and redline contracts, including NDAs, SaaS licenses, vendor contracts, engagement letters, teaming agreements, leases, and more. They will coordinate electronic signatures and manage the Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) tool and contract records. Additionally, the associate will support legal tech execution, such as administering the CLM, invoicing, matter management, or AI tools. They will identify opportunities to improve processes, share best practices, and improve efficiency within the legal department. The associate will also help various departments, including Strategic Real Estate, Core Ops, Construction, and others, to streamline their legal needs and provide them with tools for repeatable legal requests. They will oversee and lead various significant, material projects that will have a significant impact on the company's business, working with amorphous direction and tasking. Finally, the associate will assist in the development of lightweight workflows to keep the company organized and efficient.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of relevant experience, a bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate, and strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Proficiency in productivity tools such as AirTable, Asana, Slack, DocuSign, Adobe, Jira, and Salesforce is required. Proficiency in management tools such as LeaseHarbor, CT Corp HCue, CLM, and Oracle ERP is also necessary. The candidate should have the ability to build strong relationships within the team and cross-functionally, including Real Estate, Construction, Procurement, Finance, and Growth/Business Development. Experience in supporting small and large-scale projects from inception to execution is essential. The candidate should be solutions-oriented, with experience developing and streamlining processes and creating efficiencies. A self-starter who can identify areas where they can assist, work with autonomy, and is eager to make an impact on an organization is preferred. The candidate should be willing to wear multiple hats with shifting priorities and work on projects of all types, big and small. Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, a positive team player attitude, good judgment, and eagerness to help others are important. U.S. Person status is required due to access to export-controlled data.
The salary range for this role is $86,000 to $114,000 USD annually, with equity grants included in the compensation package.
