The Legal Officer for the Middle East Programme at Legal Action Worldwide (LAW) will play a pivotal role in advancing human rights and legal advocacy in the region. This position involves collaborating with a dedicated team to provide legal support and representation to victims and survivors of human rights violations, particularly focusing on gender equality and sexual and gender-based violence. LAW is an independent, non-profit organization committed to delivering justice in fragile and conflict-affected areas across the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia.

Key responsibilities include conducting legal research and analysis, drafting legal documents, and developing strategic litigation initiatives. The Legal Officer will also engage in capacity-building activities, such as organizing training sessions and workshops for local partners and stakeholders. Additionally, the role involves monitoring and evaluating program activities to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and donor requirements.

Candidates must possess a law degree and have a minimum of three years of experience in human rights law, international humanitarian law, or related fields.
