Legal Intern
Auctane is seeking a Legal Intern to join its Legal department in Austin, Texas, for a 9-week paid internship during the summer of 2026. This hybrid role offers a blend of in-office and remote work, providing an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic legal environment. The internship is scheduled to begin on June 9, 2025, with the final day on August 13, 2025.
As a Legal Intern, you will work closely with in-house counsel and collaborate with internal business partners across Sales, Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams. Your responsibilities will include interpreting contract terms, researching legal issues, drafting legal memoranda, and preparing for and attending meetings. Additional tasks may involve assisting with contract management, compliance monitoring, and supporting department operations, such as managing template agreements and internal policies.
Ideal candidates should be currently enrolled in an accredited law school program with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Applicants must be available for a full-time commitment of 40 hours per week during the internship period. Strong research and analytical skills, excellent written and oral communication abilities, and a high degree of professionalism and ethics are essential. Proficiency with online legal research tools and the ability to maintain confidentiality are also required.
