As a Legal Counsel Intern at Picnic, you will be an integral part of the legal team, working closely with the Legal Director for France and collaborating with operational teams in both the Netherlands and France. Your primary responsibilities will include reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts, drafting and managing commercial leases, and serving as the first point of contact for operational teams seeking legal guidance. Additionally, you will assist in long-term projects such as pre-litigation and litigation matters, as well as complex contract negotiations. You will also be involved in corporate secretarial tasks and organizing training sessions for operational staff.

The ideal candidate for this internship should be a law student with a strong foundation in French business law, encompassing areas such as private law, contracts, consumer protection, distribution, and real estate. You should possess a proactive, dynamic, and autonomous work ethic, with a keen attention to detail and a collaborative team spirit. Fluency in English is essential, as it is the primary working language at Picnic. The internship is expected to commence in June or July 2026, and candidates should be based in or willing to relocate to Amsterdam.
