Clever is seeking a Legal Counsel to join our General & Administrative team. This role offers the flexibility to work from our San Francisco headquarters or remotely from anywhere in the continental United States. As a key member of our legal department, you will play a pivotal role in supporting Clever's mission to advance education through technology.

In this position, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive legal support across various aspects of the company. Your day-to-day tasks will include drafting and negotiating contracts, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and advising on corporate governance matters. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to address legal issues and mitigate risks, contributing to the overall success and growth of Clever.

The ideal candidate will possess a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and be a member in good standing of a state bar. A minimum of 3 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in the technology or education sectors, is required. Strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential for success in this role.
