Fly Zipline is seeking a Legal Counsel specializing in aviation to join their dynamic legal team. This role is integral to supporting Zipline's mission of revolutionizing healthcare delivery through innovative drone technology. As a Legal Counsel, you will provide expert legal guidance on aviation regulations, compliance, and risk management, ensuring that Zipline's operations adhere to all applicable laws and industry standards.
In this position, you will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts related to aviation services, including agreements with regulatory bodies, service providers, and partners. You will also advise on regulatory compliance, assist in obtaining necessary approvals and certifications, and represent Zipline in discussions with aviation authorities. Additionally, you will monitor changes in aviation laws and regulations, assessing their impact on Zipline's operations and implementing necessary adjustments.
The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctor (JD) degree and a strong background in aviation law, with at least 5 years of experience in a legal role focused on aviation or aerospace industries. Proficiency in contract negotiation and drafting, as well as a deep understanding of aviation regulations and compliance requirements, are essential. Experience working with regulatory agencies and a proven ability to manage complex legal issues in a fast-paced environment are highly desirable.
