Legal Claims Coordinator
The Legal Claims Coordinator at EBANX is a strategic leadership role within the Claims & Consultancy team, responsible for managing litigation and legal advisory matters across Brazil, Latin America, and other international markets. This position requires a professional with extensive experience in corporate litigation, strong leadership skills, and a hands-on approach to legal risk management. The role is based in São Paulo, Brazil, and operates within a hybrid work model.
Key responsibilities include leading the Claims & Consultancy team, providing legal advisory support in civil, commercial, and consumer law matters, and managing strategic and high-volume litigation. The coordinator will define procedural strategies, mitigate legal risks, and oversee relationships with external law firms across various regions. Additional duties involve managing legal contingencies, acting as a strategic business partner to internal stakeholders, coordinating responses to official requests from regulatory and government authorities, and reviewing internal policies to ensure regulatory compliance. The role also entails preparing management reports, monitoring key legal performance indicators, developing strategies for crisis management and dispute resolution, and representing the company in hearings and expert witness proceedings when necessary.
Candidates must possess a law degree, active registration with the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB), and over 10 years of professional legal experience, with a solid background in corporate litigation. Experience in in-house legal departments of large companies, prior people management experience, and managing external law firms are essential. The role requires fluency in English, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a hands-on profile with a strong sense of accountability and results orientation. Proficiency in Spanish, experience in fintech or highly regulated industries, and familiarity with legal management systems such as XJUR are advantageous.
