Legal Assistant
Tyson & Mendes LLP, a nationally recognized trial firm specializing in insurance defense, is seeking a dedicated Legal Assistant to join their Denver, Colorado office. As a Legal Assistant, you will be responsible for drafting and e-filing legal documents, managing case calendars, coordinating hearings and trial preparations, and maintaining communication with clients and courts. Your day-to-day tasks will involve assisting attorneys with administrative duties, scheduling depositions and conference calls, and ensuring all documentation is accurately formatted and filed in accordance with state and federal court procedures.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years' experience as a litigation legal assistant, preferably within insurance defense or personal injury law. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, as well as Adobe Acrobat, is essential. A solid understanding of civil litigation processes, including state and federal court filing procedures in Colorado, along with strong organizational and communication skills, is required.
Tyson & Mendes offers a competitive compensation package, including an hourly pay range of $30 to $43, depending on experience, with overtime paid at 1.5 times the regular rate as needed.
