Legal Assistant

Morgan & Morgan, a leading personal injury law firm dedicated to protecting the people, not the powerful, is seeking a Legal Assistant to join their Miami, Florida office. This role involves working closely with a lead attorney and litigation paralegal to support the firm's mission of consumer rights advocacy.

The Legal Assistant will be responsible for performing administrative duties such as scheduling hearings and deadlines, organizing case files, and managing logistics. Additional tasks include maintaining pleadings and discovery indexes, organizing exhibits and legal documents, implementing efficient administrative processes, drafting and proofreading correspondence and legal documents, conducting legal research, managing client billing, and communicating with clients and witnesses to schedule meetings and depositions.

Candidates should possess a high school diploma or GED, with an Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies, Bachelor’s Degree, or a Paralegal Certificate preferred. A minimum of 2 years of experience as an Administrative Assistant, preferably in a law firm setting or corporate legal department, is required. Experience in Personal Injury, Workers Compensation, Premises, First Party, or other injury-related practice areas is preferred. Strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment, and excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
