Foley Hoag LLP, an award-winning international law firm founded in 1943, is seeking a Learning and Development Manager to collaborate with the Professional Development (PD) and Human Resources (HR) teams. This role focuses on developing curricula, creating programs, and managing training initiatives to support the professional growth and career success of attorneys and business professionals. The position is based in Boston, MA, and requires a hybrid work schedule with in-office presence at least three days per week.

The Learning and Development Manager will be responsible for assessing attorney needs, establishing goals, and creating, implementing, and overseeing a PD core skills training curriculum. Additionally, the role involves collaborating with the HR team to develop and implement relevant training for business professionals. Key duties include creating metrics to evaluate training effectiveness, designing innovative training approaches, supporting internal presenters, managing external training vendors, promoting online learning opportunities, and ensuring CLE accreditation for qualifying internal programs.

Candidates should have a minimum of five years of professional development or training experience within the legal industry, preferably at a managerial level, with expertise in training and curriculum design, development, and implementation. A Bachelor's degree is required; a JD or MS in Education, Organizational Development, or a related field is preferred. Strong organizational skills, excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, and a high level of initiative and creativity are essential.
