The Lead, Strategy & Operations role at Divergent is designed to support the company's executive leadership in achieving strategic clarity, financial discipline, and operational alignment as the business scales. Divergent is a technology company that has developed the Divergent Adaptive Production System (DAPS), an end-to-end factory system utilizing machine learning to engineer, manufacture, and assemble complex vehicle structures and subsystems. This innovative approach positions Divergent as a qualified Tier 1 supplier to global automotive OEMs and is expanding into the Aerospace and Defense sectors.

In this role, the individual will be responsible for maintaining and refining the company's financial models, including revenue and cost models that inform operational and strategic decisions. The position involves developing investor materials and assisting in due diligence processes for equity and debt financings. Additionally, the role includes creating presentation materials and participating in discussions with customers to support existing programs and explore new opportunities. Evaluating and analyzing new business and market opportunities to drive customer strategies and R&D priorities is also a key aspect of the job. Furthermore, the individual will work closely with organizational leaders to develop cohesive objectives and targets, track progress, and report on their status. Engaging in special projects with senior leadership to implement various strategic initiatives, including support for legal, finance, and engineering departments, is also expected.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial modeling and analysis, with the ability to blend analytical and creative perspectives into compelling narratives. They should excel at distilling complex problems into actionable steps, even without being a subject matter expert. Effective prioritization skills, clear and concise communication abilities, and at least two years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, or similar fast-paced environments are required. A bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, business, finance, or a related field is also necessary. Preferred qualifications include knowledge of manufacturing technology and the Department of Defense acquisition cycle.

The compensation for this position ranges from $141,400 to $194,400 annually, depending on the candidate's level as evaluated through the interview process. Divergent offers a comprehensive benefits package, including a competitive salary, equity plan, discretionary results-based incentive bonuses, paid vacation, sick time, company holidays, paid parental leave, comprehensive health and wellness benefits with HMO and PPO options, company-sponsored life insurance, short and long-term disability coverage, and reimbursement opportunities for learning and development initiatives.

Divergent fosters a collaborative, dynamic, and high-performing environment within a fast-paced, mission-driven company. The organization is committed to disrupting the traditional manufacturing industry by integrating people and technology to reduce environmental impact. Joining Divergent offers the opportunity to be part of a transformative journey, where your contributions will shape the future of technology and production.
