Lead Sales Engineer
Black Duck Software, Inc. is seeking a Lead Sales Engineer to join our Application Security team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with Account Executives to drive enterprise deals, delivering high-impact presentations and demonstrations that showcase our SAST, SCA, and DAST solutions. Your expertise will be instrumental in helping organizations build secure, high-quality software without compromising speed and productivity.
As a Lead Sales Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include conducting technical discovery sessions, running compelling demos and proofs of concept, and architecting solutions across various security testing methodologies. You will diagnose customer challenges swiftly, position Black Duck's offerings effectively against competitors, and embed our solutions seamlessly into clients' existing CI/CD pipelines and development environments.
The ideal candidate will have over eight years of experience in sales engineering or pre-sales roles within the application security domain. A deep understanding of application security concepts, vulnerabilities, and testing methodologies is essential. Proficiency in SAST, SCA, or DAST technologies, along with a background in software development or security engineering, is highly desirable. Exceptional communication skills and the ability to engage both technical and executive-level stakeholders are crucial.
This position offers a competitive salary range of $141,200 to $211,800 USD, reflecting the level of expertise and experience required. Additional benefits and perks are available and will be discussed during the interview process.
