Flex is a growth-stage FinTech company headquartered in New York City, dedicated to revolutionizing the rent payment experience. As of 2026, paying rent on time remains expensive and inflexible, and Flex aims to change that by enabling users to pay rent throughout the month on a schedule that better fits their finances and budget. The company's mission is to empower renters with flexibility over their most significant recurring expense.

The Lead Product Manager, Platform, will be responsible for defining the architecture that enables Flex to rapidly build and scale new products. This high-leverage role involves working directly with senior engineering leads and interfacing regularly with other product and operations teams and leaders. Key responsibilities include owning the roadmap for making Flex's fulfillment engine configurable across product types, extending the identity service to support new customer acquisition channels, and driving architectural decisions that enable platform services to serve as a shared platform across Flex's current and future product lines.

Candidates should have 5–8 years of product management experience, with at least 3 years owning platform, infrastructure, or payments products in a fintech or financial services environment. Technical skills required include comfort in architecture reviews, ability to read a pull request, and fluency in data modeling, API design, and systems thinking. An analytical mindset is essential, with the ability to use data to identify platform failure patterns, prioritize technical investments by business impact, and define measurable SLA targets and error budgets for shared services.

The compensation range for this role is $216,000–$270,000, commensurate with the candidate's experience and Flex's internal leveling guidelines. For candidates located in Tier 1 markets (NYC/SF), the base salary pay range applies. For all other U.S. locations, Flex utilizes a geographic pay differential based on a cost of labor index. Additional benefits include competitive pay, 100% company-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with company equity, unlimited paid time off plus 13 company-paid holidays, parental leave, and a free Flex subscription.

Flex is committed to building an inclusive culture and takes great pride in being an equal opportunity workplace. The company is growing quickly but deliberately, with a focus on diversity and inclusion. Employees are located throughout the US, Australia, Canada, and South America, and the company offers a dynamic team environment with incredible perspectives to share.
