The Lead Product Designer, Systems at Mindbody is a pivotal individual contributor role within the Design Systems squad, with additional responsibilities supporting the Professional Services (ProServe) team. This position focuses on advancing design systems across the Playlist ecosystem, which includes Mindbody, ClassPass, Consumer Products, and Playlist, to enhance design consistency and efficiency. The role also involves delivering tailored design solutions for strategic accounts through the ProServe team.

Key responsibilities include leading the development and iteration of design systems, creating detailed design specifications, and evolving design patterns based on real-world product development needs. The designer will collaborate closely with product managers, engineering managers, and engineers to refine and expand design system patterns, ensuring high-quality implementation. Additionally, the role involves supporting the expansion of design system adoption across various brands and advancing AI-enabled design workflows to improve design-to-build quality and speed.

The ideal candidate possesses 5-10 years of professional product design experience, with a strong background in systems thinking and a proven track record of shipping complex workflows. Experience in building or maintaining design systems, exceptional collaboration skills with engineering teams, and the ability to navigate complex constraints are essential. Strong product thinking, effective cross-functional collaboration, and excellent communication skills are also required. Preferred qualifications include experience designing for B2B platforms, internal tools, or multi-surface systems, and familiarity with AI-enabled product or workflow design.
