The Lead Metrology & Inspection Technician at Divergent is responsible for driving inspection excellence within the organization. This role involves performing complex metrology tasks, providing leadership and mentorship to the inspection team, and ensuring compliance with engineering specifications. Divergent is a technology company that has developed the Divergent Adaptive Production System (DAPS), an end-to-end factory system utilizing machine learning to engineer, manufacture, and assemble complex vehicle structures and subsystems.

Key responsibilities include conducting advanced inspections using scanners such as FARO, Romer, Creaform, and GOM, along with 3D software like PolyWorks and Zeiss. The technician will deliver accurate inspection files and reports, lead by example through hands-on inspection work, prioritize and delegate daily tasks, and mentor team members. Maintaining a clean and organized metrology lab in alignment with 5S practices is also essential.

Candidates should have a minimum of 2–3 years of experience in a Quality Inspection or Metrology role within aerospace, automotive, or other high-precision production environments. A high school diploma is required, along with proficiency in computer systems and a strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications. Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate scanning equipment for extended periods is necessary. Excellent communication skills, a problem-solving mindset, and a team-first approach are also important.

Divergent offers a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $29.00 to $44.00 per hour, depending on experience and level.
