Lead Insurance Data Analyst

The Lead Insurance Data Analyst will proactively analyze trends in accounts receivable, denials, and payment issues to identify opportunities for departmental improvement. Responsibilities include integrating multiple data sources using SQL and API calls, creating monthly reporting packages to inform leadership of key metrics, and supporting ad hoc data requests. Additionally, the role involves mentoring new hires on best practices in data analysis and collaborating with the Revenue Cycle Management Operations Manager, Product team, and external vendors to influence healthcare data strategy.
Candidates should have over five years of experience in the healthcare sector, particularly in data analysis roles within provider organizations. A solid understanding of documentation, billing, and follow-up processes with insurance companies is essential. Proficiency in working with disparate data sets, including CSVs and JSON, and writing SQL queries across multiple databases is required. Strong communication skills are necessary to ensure data insights are well understood and actionable. Experience with BigQuery, Looker, Mode, de-identification of PHI, AI-assisted analysis, and utilizing API calls to retrieve data is a plus.
The position offers a base salary range of $110,000 to $130,000, with eligibility for a performance bonus.
