Lead HR Generalist - Americas
Canonical is seeking a Lead HR Generalist to support its Americas region. This role involves delivering precise and compliant HR operations, advising on HR issues across the employee life cycle, and partnering with regional leadership. The position is remote, aligning with Canonical's globally distributed team structure.
Key responsibilities include managing HR processes such as talent development, succession planning, performance assessments, onboarding, and engagement initiatives. The role also involves collaborating with managers on performance management, organizational design, employee engagement, rewards, and workforce planning. Additionally, the Lead HR Generalist will partner with the HRIS team to refine operational processes and drive diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
Candidates should have an exceptional academic track record and experience leading HR initiatives across regions within a technology business. Regional HR experience within Latin America, particularly in Brazil and/or Mexico, is advantageous. The role requires strong project management skills, experience mentoring others, and the ability to work effectively in a remote-first organization. Fluency in business English and a willingness to travel up to four times a year for internal events are also necessary.
