Fictiv, a division of MISUMI Americas, is seeking a Lead Cloud DevOps Engineer to oversee the AWS infrastructure supporting their global platform. This role is based in Oakland, CA, and requires candidates to work onsite as needed. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices, with a strong focus on AWS services and Node.js development.

In this position, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining AWS infrastructure using CloudFormation as the primary Infrastructure-as-Code tool. You will ensure high availability, scalability, failover, and security of AWS environments, and lead infrastructure projects from planning through execution, mentoring a small team. Additionally, you will develop and maintain Node.js-based tools for automation, deployment workflows, monitoring, and platform operations, and design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deployments.

Candidates should have over 10 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Infrastructure Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or Systems Engineering, with at least 5 years of hands-on, production experience writing Node.js code. Expert-level AWS experience across services such as EC2, Lambda, IAM, VPC, S3, CloudWatch, RDS, CodeBuild, and Elastic Beanstalk is required. Extensive experience with CloudFormation, including authoring and maintaining complex templates, managing stacks across multiple environments, and handling updates, rollbacks, drift detection, and full stack lifecycle management, is essential. Strong Linux systems experience and excellent written and verbal communication skills are also necessary.

The compensation package includes a base salary ranging from $180,000 to $220,000 USD, depending on experience. Additional benefits encompass competitive medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, parental leave programs, and paid volunteer days.

Joining Fictiv offers the opportunity to work on complex infrastructure that supports the design and manufacturing of physical products worldwide. This role provides direct ownership of core cloud systems, influence over architectural decisions, and a central position in scaling a global platform.
