Lead Analyst, Legal, Privacy Product & AI, APAC
The Lead Analyst, Legal, Privacy Product & AI, APAC at NIQ is responsible for supporting the organization's data protection and privacy compliance program across the Asia-Pacific region. This role involves ensuring that personal data is handled in accordance with applicable data protection regulations and company policies, working closely with the Global Privacy, Product, and AI (PPAI) team to monitor compliance, raise awareness, and support contract reviews for vendors and clients.
Key responsibilities include monitoring and maintaining statutory registrations and filings required in various countries, supporting internal compliance reviews, assisting in incident and data breach escalation processes, and reviewing privacy notices and consents. The role also involves preparing and recording Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) for new projects or systems involving personal data, managing data protection awareness programs and training sessions, reviewing data processing agreements, and handling data subject access requests (DSARs) within required timelines.
The position requires a university degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or a relevant field, along with a strong interest in data privacy and data protection laws. Relevant experience or exposure to compliance, governance, risk, or regulatory roles is essential. Basic knowledge of personal data protection laws, familiarity with privacy frameworks or standards, and information security principles are advantageous. Strong language skills in English, Vietnamese, and another Asian language are preferred, as well as the ability to work with cross-functional teams and experience in a regional or multinational environment.
