Performing self-evaluative quality control checks of conflict reports prior to delivery is essential. The role also involves providing foundational understanding of potential business and ethical conflicts to Conflicts Analysts and Professional Responsibility Counsel, and working with the New Business Intake Lateral Team on conflict resolution. Effective communication with partners to assist in processing lateral candidate requests and resolving conflicts is a critical aspect of the position.
Candidates should possess at least two years of direct experience in a conflicts or new business intake department, or have two years of paralegal experience. Experience in a law firm environment is preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, with the ability to present information concisely and meaningfully. Proficiency with intake and conflicts software is advantageous. The role requires meticulous attention to detail, the ability to prioritize and multitask, and the capacity to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
