Laboratory Technician
Eurofins Scientific is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join our team in Dandenong South, VIC. The Laboratory Technician will be responsible for receiving and sorting water and soil samples, assigning tests, and preparing batch sheets using the ELVIS database and Microsoft Excel. Key duties include extracting analytes from samples, combining and concentrating solutions, performing quality control tests, and ensuring traceability of prepared samples. Additional responsibilities encompass calibrating laboratory equipment, maintaining cleanliness, and adhering to safety and environmental protocols.
Candidates should possess a solid understanding of chemistry and mathematics, equivalent to Year 11 education. While no prior experience is required, a preference for technical environments and a desire for continuous learning are essential. The role demands strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Eurofins offers competitive compensation, including an extra 1.5% superannuation above the national standard rate. Shift times are available in the morning (9:00 am – 5:00 pm) and afternoon (2:00 pm – 10:00 pm), providing flexibility to suit various schedules.
