Laboratory Technician

Eurofins Agroscience Australia/New Zealand is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join our team. Eurofins is a global leader in analytical testing services, providing support to industries such as food, environmental, pharmaceutical, and cosmetics. Our Agroscience division specializes in conducting field and laboratory studies to assess the safety and efficacy of agrochemicals, veterinary medicines, and crop varieties.

In this role, you will be responsible for sub-sampling test samples, operating and maintaining test equipment, and performing calibration duties. Additional tasks include receiving and storing test samples, logging them into the master schedule as needed, and maintaining daily laboratory cleanliness and maintenance. You will also conduct analyses as directed by the Laboratory Manager or Study Project Coordinators, following stipulated test procedures, and prepare stock standard solutions.

The ideal candidate will have completed a Diploma or certificate in chemistry or a related field. While previous experience is advantageous, training will be provided to suitable candidates. Proficiency in standard office applications, particularly MS Word and MS Excel, is preferred. Physical ability to perform manual handling tasks is required, along with a proactive attitude and the ability to work effectively within a safety-focused team. A quick learner with versatility, strong teamwork skills, and enthusiasm for learning will thrive in this position.

This is a contract position based in Australia or New Zealand. Applicants must have the right to work in these countries, as the opportunity is only open to candidates who are eligible to work in Australia/New Zealand and already possess work rights or an appropriate working visa.
