Laboratory Technician (Asbestos)

Eurofins is seeking a Laboratory Technician specializing in asbestos analysis to join our team in Girraween, NSW. As part of our Environment Testing Australia division, you will contribute to our mission of providing high-quality analytical testing services that ensure environmental safety and compliance.

In this role, you will be responsible for receiving and sorting samples, assigning tests in accordance with the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), and preparing log sheets. Your duties will include prioritizing urgent samples, preparing soil and air filter samples following ISO 17025 accredited methods, and performing calibrations of laboratory equipment. Maintaining a clean and organized laboratory environment and managing inventory will also be key aspects of your daily work.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Science or a related field and demonstrate a strong desire for continuous learning and improvement. A hands-on approach, coupled with a common-sense attitude and the ability to work diligently, is essential for success in this position.

This full-time position offers a Monday to Friday schedule from 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm, with an additional 1.5% superannuation paid above the national standard rate. Eurofins provides a supportive work environment with opportunities for professional growth and development within the company.
