Laboratory Supervisor, Volatiles

The Laboratory Supervisor, Volatiles, at Eurofins is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Volatiles Department, ensuring efficient sample production and data review. This role involves coordinating with project managers to prioritize laboratory workloads, managing in-house projects to meet client requirements, and supervising analysts to maximize productivity while adhering to quality assurance and standard operating procedures.

Key responsibilities include scheduling and prioritizing work tasks, training staff, implementing new procedures and methods, analyzing samples, reviewing and validating data, and completing reports. The supervisor also communicates department issues to lab management and project managers, evaluates individual performance, and ensures proper training for all new analysts.

Candidates must possess a BS/BA in Chemistry or a related field and have a minimum of 5 years' experience in a laboratory setting. Ideal candidates will have experience with GC/MS Purge & Trap instrumentation, EPA methods for analyzing soil and water matrices, quality assurance plans, laboratory standard operating procedures, and laboratory safety protocols. Strong organizational, time management, problem-solving, and supervisory skills are essential.

The position offers a competitive pay range starting at $25.00 to $35.00 per hour, along with comprehensive benefits including medical coverage, life and disability insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid holidays, and paid time off. The role is full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with overtime as needed.
