Laboratory Supervisor
Eurofins Scientific is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor to oversee daily operations within the microbiology department. This role involves managing laboratory personnel, ensuring compliance with quality standards, and maintaining efficient workflow to meet client commitments. The Laboratory Supervisor will be responsible for scheduling, supervising, and assisting in the performance of manual and instrumental analyses. Key duties include troubleshooting equipment, coordinating repairs, implementing procedures for equipment maintenance, and ensuring all regulatory procedures are correctly followed during sample testing. Additionally, the supervisor will maintain accurate records of work performed and quality control results.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in microbiology, biology, chemistry, environmental sciences, physical sciences, or engineering, with specific coursework requirements. A minimum of two years' experience in environmental analysis is required, with advanced degrees potentially reducing this requirement. The role also demands at least two years of laboratory experience and prior leadership experience in a laboratory setting. Authorization to work in the United States and professional proficiency in English are mandatory.
