Laboratory Automation and Programming Specialist
Eurofins is seeking a Laboratory Automation and Programming Specialist to join our team in Kalamazoo, Michigan. This role involves collaborating with scientists to design and implement data collection, analysis, and visualization strategies, ensuring seamless integration with other teams. The position is integral to our mission of providing high-quality analytical testing services across various industries.
Key responsibilities include handling samples such as small and large molecule compounds, monoclonal antibodies, biospecimens, and nucleic acids. The specialist will perform tasks like preparation, dilution, transfer, plating, and storage. Additionally, the role requires basic programming and operation of automation equipment, including Hamilton Liquid Handling Systems, Agilent Bravo, Scinomix Tube Labeler, Hamilton TekCel, and Agilent BioCel. Managing data using tools like MS Excel, Visual Studio, R, Python, JSON, and SQL/relational databases is also essential.
Candidates should possess strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills, along with excellent communication and attention to detail. The ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and work both independently and collaboratively is crucial. A Bachelor's degree in biology, cell biology, biochemistry, chemistry, computer science, or a related field is required, or equivalent directly-related experience. Experience with sample handling, laboratory automation programming, and working in a GLP environment is preferred.
