Laboratory Analyst - Mycology - Eurofins Built Environment Testing, Phoenix, AZ
Eurofins Built Environment Testing is seeking a Laboratory Analyst in our Mycology department to join our team in Phoenix, AZ. Eurofins is a global leader in analytical testing services, dedicated to making life and the environment safer and healthier. The Mycology department focuses on analyzing environmental samples for fungal content, contributing to the assessment of indoor air quality and environmental health.
The Laboratory Analyst will prepare and analyze aerobiological, environmental, and water samples for fungal analysis. Responsibilities include accurately entering and reporting analytical data using the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), performing independent data reviews, analyzing quality control samples, and providing technical support to clients. The role also involves assisting the Quality Assurance manager in developing and implementing QA processes and maintaining necessary laboratory accreditations.
Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in microbiology, biology, or a closely related science. While 1-2 years of laboratory experience involving mold and/or asbestos microscopy analysis is preferred, it is not mandatory. Professional working proficiency in English, including the ability to read, write, and speak, is required. Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship is also necessary.
The position offers a compensation range of $21.00 to $25.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. The role is full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with the possibility of overtime and weekends as needed.
