Laboratory Analyst I, Environment Testing, Pittsburgh PA
Eurofins is seeking a Laboratory Analyst I to join our Environment Testing team in Pittsburgh, PA. This full-time position offers an opportunity to work within a leading international life sciences company dedicated to providing comprehensive analytical testing services across various industries. The role is integral to Eurofins' mission of ensuring environmental safety and sustainability through accurate and reliable testing.
The Laboratory Analyst I will be responsible for preparing and analyzing environmental samples using standard analytical techniques in compliance with Eurofins' Quality Assurance programs and standard operating procedures. Key duties include sample preparation, chemical analysis, data calculation, and routine instrument maintenance. The analyst will also be expected to perform general housekeeping tasks within the laboratory and adhere to all environmental health and safety standards.
Candidates should possess a minimum of an Associate of Science degree in Chemistry or equivalent experience. Preferred qualifications include 1-2 years of preparation or analytical experience, effective communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and proficiency in basic mathematical concepts. Experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) software is a plus. The role requires the ability to lift up to 25 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally, as well as a willingness to work overtime as necessary.
