Laboratory Analyst, Environment Testing
Eurofins is seeking a Laboratory Analyst to join our Environment Testing laboratory in Earth City, Missouri. This full-time, first-shift position offers compensation between $17 and $20 per hour, depending on experience, along with benefits and opportunities for growth. The Laboratory Analyst will be responsible for preparing and analyzing environmental samples using standard analytical techniques in compliance with scientific and EPA methodologies, as well as Eurofins' Quality Assurance programs and Standard Operating Procedures. Key duties include sample preparation, chemical analysis, data calculation, recording and reporting data, performing routine instrument maintenance, and ensuring compliance with Environmental Health and Safety standards. Additional tasks involve general housekeeping within the work area and the potential to become trained on complex instrumentation such as gas chromatography and mass spectrometry systems.
Candidates should possess a minimum of an Associate of Science degree in Chemistry or equivalent experience. Experience in an environmental laboratory setting is advantageous. Preferred qualifications include 1-2 years of preparation and analytical experience, effective communication skills, a positive attitude toward quality and safety procedures, strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in basic math skills. The role requires the ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
