Labor and Employment Associate (Mid-Senior Level)
Ice Miller is seeking an experienced attorney to join its dynamic labor and employment practice. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of issues, including litigation, compliance, due diligence in transactions, and client counseling for both public and private employers. The position is based in Indianapolis, with consideration for alternative locations for the right candidate.
The successful candidate will be responsible for handling complex labor and employment matters, providing strategic advice to clients, and representing them in various legal proceedings. Day-to-day tasks include conducting legal research, drafting pleadings and motions, negotiating settlements, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Collaboration with colleagues across practice groups and offices is essential to deliver comprehensive legal solutions.
Applicants must possess a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials and hold an active law license in Indiana. A minimum of four years of experience practicing law in a law firm or government agency environment is required, with a preference for experience in labor and employment or litigation matters. Strong research, analytical, and communication skills are essential, along with a team-oriented mentality and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
