Lab Technician-Gas Combustion, LGE Heating Products
The Gas Combustion Lab Technician role at LG Electronics involves supporting the testing and evaluation of gas-fired heating products, including furnaces, boilers, and water heaters, at the Alpharetta R&D Laboratory. Key responsibilities include assisting in the setup and testing of gas heating products, operating test equipment, and following established test procedures. The technician will work closely with engineers to collect and organize test data, report observations, and support preparation for certification testing with agencies such as CSA, UL, or Intertek/ETL. Maintaining a safe and organized laboratory environment, performing basic maintenance on test fixtures and equipment, and assisting in building or modifying test setups are also essential duties.
Candidates should possess a high school diploma or GED, with an associate degree or technical diploma in HVAC preferred. A minimum of two years of hands-on experience testing or servicing gas heating equipment is required. Familiarity with combustion concepts, the ability to work with tools, read wiring and piping diagrams, and follow written test procedures accurately are essential. Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and teamwork are also critical qualifications.
The position offers a competitive salary range of $45,000 to $55,000 USD.
