Korean Translator - Freelance AI Trainer Project

The Korean Translator – AI Trainer role is a freelance position focused on enhancing AI language models through high-quality translation data. The company seeks individuals with strong proficiency in both Korean and English to assess and refine AI-generated translations, ensuring grammatical accuracy, fluency, cultural nuance, and contextual sensitivity. This role is integral to developing AI systems capable of delivering accurate and context-aware translations, thereby improving cross-cultural communication and supporting global learners and professionals.

Key responsibilities include evaluating and editing AI outputs, translating content between Korean and English in both directions, annotating errors, providing cultural or contextual explanations, and suggesting improvements to prompts, evaluation methods, and model behavior. The translator will challenge the AI model with idiomatic expressions, ambiguous phrases, varying tones, and real-world scenarios to document model failures and enhance translation quality and consistency.

Candidates should have a background in professional translation, linguistics, localization, or language education. Experience with technical, literary, or media translation is highly desirable. The position offers a pay range of $8 to $65 per hour, with the exact rate determined based on the candidate's experience, expertise, and geographic location. As a contractor, the translator is expected to provide a secure computer and high-speed internet connection. Company-sponsored benefits such as health insurance and paid time off do not apply to this role.
