Key Account Manager
Eurofins BioPharma Product Testing is seeking a Key Account Manager to drive growth in our managed accounts program. This role involves securing and retaining business through consultative and proactive sales activities, positioning Eurofins BPT as the primary or preferred supplier for all outsourced services. The Key Account Manager will serve as the primary point of contact, facilitating project kick-off and hand-off meetings with project management and laboratory operations teams to ensure successful project execution.
Key responsibilities include achieving or exceeding annual revenue targets for assigned accounts by leveraging relationships to further penetrate existing accounts and prospecting for new accounts in the bio/pharmaceutical research and development and manufacturing markets. The role also involves identifying and securing sales opportunities through sales visits, phone calls, and presentations, working effectively across the organization to advance opportunities, and generating new business consistent with our market focus, operational capabilities, and laboratory capacity. Additionally, the Key Account Manager will use their experience to mentor colleagues on the Business Development team.
The ideal candidate will possess experience selling for a service company in the bio/pharmaceutical sector—such as CDMO, CRO, or CTO—with practical GMP lab experience in a biotech/pharma company being a plus. Recent experience executing business travel and in-person client sales and business review meetings is essential. Strong scientific acumen and the ability to learn new technical information are required, along with the ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude. Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills are also necessary. Demonstrated experience in identifying and developing sales leads, making professional presentations, organizing and leading business review meetings, managing the sales process through close, and handling contract negotiations is expected.
The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with overtime as needed. Eurofins offers excellent full-time benefits, including comprehensive medical coverage, life and disability insurance, a 401(k) with company match, paid holidays and vacation, personal days, and dental and vision options. As a Eurofins employee, you will become part of a company that has received national recognition as a great place to work.
