Junior Legal Counsel
The Junior Legal Counsel at Six Construct, a subsidiary of the BESIX Group, will be integral to the legal department, supporting a diverse team in managing complex construction projects across the Middle East. This role offers an opportunity to engage with a wide range of legal matters within a leading Belgian construction company operating internationally.
Key responsibilities include managing large-scale construction claims and disputes, encompassing claims preparation, negotiation, adjudication, mediation, and various forms of alternative dispute resolution (ADR). The role also involves proactive engagement in non-contentious matters such as dispute avoidance, drafting agreements, reviewing contracts, and providing practical legal advice to management and site teams on complex projects.
Candidates should possess a minimum of three years post-qualification experience, preferably in project finance, public-private partnerships (PPP), infrastructure, and construction projects. Experience as an in-house or business-focused legal counsel is essential, along with a strong understanding of corporate external environments and regulatory influences. Proficiency in Arabic and/or French is advantageous.
