Java Developer

As a Java Developer at Monks, you will be instrumental in developing and optimizing server-side logic to support our diverse range of digital experiences. Collaborating with a dynamic team, you will ensure high performance and seamless integration across various business applications, contributing to the robust infrastructure that powers our services.

Your primary responsibilities will include developing and maintaining high-performance server-side logic using Java, collaborating with front-end developers and stakeholders to integrate user-facing elements, designing and implementing standardized APIs and RESTful services, managing database lifecycles, identifying and resolving complex bugs, writing clean and efficient code, participating in code reviews, and documenting technical specifications.

The ideal candidate will possess Dutch citizenship and proficiency in the Dutch language, a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, proven experience with core Java and modern features, strong hands-on experience with frameworks like Spring Boot and Hibernate, proficiency in RESTful API design and database technologies, experience with version control and build tools, and a solid understanding of security principles and testing frameworks.
