IT Software Engineer
As a Software Engineer at Monks Technology Services, you will be instrumental in developing and enhancing modern engineering systems that span application development, deployment automation, infrastructure, and observability. This role offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic environment where code, CI/CD pipelines, containerized workloads, Kubernetes deployments, and monitoring are deeply interconnected, ensuring systems are reliable, scalable, and fully observable in production.
Your primary responsibilities will include designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, managing repositories with Git best practices, and developing backend services and internal tools utilizing TypeScript and Python. Additionally, you will be tasked with containerizing applications using Docker, deploying and troubleshooting workloads in Kubernetes environments, and implementing cloud infrastructure and services within Microsoft Azure. Establishing observability best practices through logs, metrics, and traces, as well as configuring and maintaining Datadog agents and Splunk integrations, will also be key aspects of your role.
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience, with strong expertise in CI/CD automation and GitHub Actions. Proficiency in Git, TypeScript, and/or Python is essential, along with hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes. Familiarity with Microsoft Azure cloud services and implementing observability solutions using Datadog and Splunk is highly desirable. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are crucial for collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and a proactive problem-solving approach is expected.
