IT Software Engineer (EHS/LIMS interfaces, HL7, CorePoint engine)
Eurofins is seeking an IT Software Engineer to join our team, focusing on developing and maintaining interfaces between hospital systems and laboratory information management systems (LIMS). The primary responsibilities include architecting, developing, and supporting interfaces that facilitate the exchange of patient and lab data between hospital information systems (HIS), electronic health records (EHR), and LIMS. The engineer will collaborate with clinical laboratory staff, hospital IT teams, and vendors to define requirements and technical specifications, ensuring interoperability through industry-standard protocols and data formats such as HL7, JSON, and XML. Additionally, the role involves troubleshooting interface-related issues, conducting testing and quality assurance, and monitoring system performance to maintain efficient and reliable operations.
Candidates should possess a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in healthcare IT interface development, with a strong emphasis on HL7 and interface engine technologies. Proficiency in the Corepoint Interface Engine is essential, including the ability to troubleshoot, debug, and optimize interfaces. A solid understanding of networking and file transfer protocols, experience with API development, and familiarity with software development lifecycle principles are also required. Effective oral and written communication skills in English are necessary to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
