IT Infrastructure System Engineer - Windows
As part of the IT Infrastructure Support Team for Eurofins Food, Feed & Agro Testing Europe, the IT Infrastructure System Engineer - Windows will join a growing international team to maintain newly deployed segregated IT User Zones and Application Availability Groups server, storage, and backup infrastructures. This role involves supporting daily operations tasks and project workloads, including designing and implementing new infrastructure or migrating existing network components. Collaboration with various IT Support and Delivery Teams is essential, requiring expertise in MS Server OS, Active Directory, ESXi Storage, and Backup engineering.
Key responsibilities include maintaining current IT User Zones and IT Application Availability infrastructures, designing and implementing IT Infrastructure Transformation, Integration, and Segregation projects across Food and Environment testing businesses in Europe, proposing and delivering solutions that meet business needs in terms of security, cost, and bandwidth, working closely with Network, Cloud (Azure/AWS), and Application team members to deliver comprehensive IT Infrastructure projects, and documenting solutions and assisting in transitioning services to regional teams.
The ideal candidate should have over 5 years of experience in server (virtual and physical) infrastructure design and transitions, VMware support including HA/DRS, Standard/Distributed switch, Resource Pools, and ESXi server hardware sizing, Windows Server 2012/2016/2019 deployment and support, including File servers, Active Directory, and MS Exchange, SCCM experience, automation skills with PowerShell and Ansible, storage expertise in Fiber Channel SAN and Fiber Channel Switch configuration, networking knowledge in DNS and DHCP with failover, Windows PKI (offline root, sub), proficiency with monitoring tools, strong command of English, and the ability to present technical projects in meetings.
Additional advantageous skills include Azure experience, Ansible for Azure automation, VMware design and implementation on large enterprise-level projects, distributed switch ESXi server hardware sizing experience, Windows PKI (offline root, sub), ADFS, NPS, Web Application Proxy, Symantec VIP (Multi-factor authentication), Data Center Operations, SolarWinds Monitoring, and storage experience with Dell and NetApp systems.
